I was 8-10 years old while Disney's Zorro was first aired on TV. I had a huge crush on Zorro at that time but forgot all about him as I grew up. When the Antonio Banderas' Zorro movies first came out, I had to go see them. They were enjoyable but I was critical of them because they didn't live up to all the elements of what I remembered in the original WD Zorro shows. What really got me back on track with Disney's Zorro was the Isabelle Allende book, Zorro. I know a lot of fans didn't like her book, but it brought back many memories of the original Zorro starring Guy Williams for me. The great thing about being in this group is that I have learned many facts, stories and tidbits about Zorro and Guy Williams. I might never have known how to find the DVDs of the series (by joining the Disney Movie Club).
